Come and Learn with Me: an Interactive and Inviting Experience on Mental Health
This public event includes an inspiring video called, "Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1", an interactive experience, and a lively discussion.
Attendees will witness the range of efforts that crisis line responders employ to keep our veterans and their family's safe. Additionally, participants will engage in an interactive exercise, providing them with first-hand experience of what it is like to have a serious mental illness. At the end of this event, attendees will leave with psychological literature and practical ways of communicating with someone in crisis.
Attendees will leave empowered, informed, and engaged about the warning signs and symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
